Friday I learned one has never truly experienced St. Patrick’s Day until they do so in South Boston. We had customers arrive at 11am and stay until closing. That’s over 14 hours of non-stop drinking!
Also, you are officially a pretentious douche bag if you are under 65-years-old and order a drink “neat”. It’s straight-up damn it!

At approximately 8:36 a.m. EST, my iPod passed on and drifted to the Apple Store in the sky. *sigh* Between the CIBS (Crappy ipod battery syndrome) and the cup of coffee I spilled on it, my poor ipod didn’t stand a chance. So I ask that everyone takes a brief moment of silence and remember the magic that was the Pink iPod Mini.

And since we’re mourning, may we also fondly look back on the career of Willie McGinest in a Patriots uniform. Close your eyes, visualize the four Super Bowls set to the tune of Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day”…. so long Willie! Best of luck in Cleveland!
I also discovered that when played back on DVR, one can watch the previous night’s two hour episode of “American Idol” in 20 minutes. When you fast forward through all the bullshit and commercials, you realize how little singing they actually feature.

Today at work, a man called my office irate at our mayoral candidate endorsement for the past November local election. This man was so angry, he screamed at me for over ten minutes about how thankful our paper should be that the new mayor (the candidate we DID NOT endorse) is for still allowing us to operate in the city. After his ten minute tirade, the man promptly hung up not allowing me to respond. So to this man, I say:
1. Get a life.
2. Grab a copy of the U.S. Constitution. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe Freedom of the Press is one of the first rights mentioned.
3. Last I checked, a newspaper is entitled to endorse whomever they choose.
4. I neither live in this dump of a city, nor do I decide what candidate our paper should endorse, so don’t scream at me.
5. Get a life.
6. If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t the election in November? Assuming by your retarded voice, being five months behind isn’t abnormal for you.
7. Also, last I checked, the new mayor HAS, in fact, cut off all legal notices to my newspaper in a very immature, unprofessional attack at our finances.
8. Again, get a life.
9. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, the new mayor of this city, at election time, owed my newspaper over $5000 in advertising charges and was not paying. Would you endorse someone who owed you over $5000?
10. Get a life.
Have I ever mentioned how much I hate the city in which I work?
