It was like pulling teeth

FINALLY, after three months of tooth-induced agony, this morning, I had my wisdom teeth ripped from my jaws.
The dentist’s office eeriely resembled the torture chamber in the movie “Hostel” with slightly better lighting.
I enjoyed being heavily sedated for the procedure. He could’ve pulled out all my teeth and I wouldn’t have cared a bit.
I left with a prescription for more drugs (Yippie!) and my lips were so numb and swollen, it made cigarette smoking very difficult.
My face is still swollen and the painkillers are making me nauseous but no matter. I’m happy that I got to miss a day of work.
And this is why I know I am suffering from severe job burnout when having teeth pulled is better than a day at the office.

Did you get the shot in the arm or the shot in the gums for sedation? I hope you got the good old shot in the arm. You just cruise on that shit.
I got both the shot in the arm and the gums. I was chillin’. Like I said, he could’ve pulled all my teeth for all I cared.
Those dental painkillers are the best, I swear. Fuck cocaine or LSD, if I wanted to be addicted to something, I’d pick painkillers in a heartbeat. The fact that Favre was once hooked on them makes them that much cooler as well. Haha.

I was completely knocked out for mine… had to have one surgically removed, not just yanked. I actually woke up laughing uncontrollably. I’ll never forget it. Didn’t have much pain or swelling either. Guess I was lucky. Though, I did refrain from smoking for a couple days… didn’t want to chance dry sockets… nor did I want to press my luck. LOL That was 8 yrs ago though.
