It’s over

Posted on January 21, 2007 by Angela

Ah, so close, yet so far away. What a season, what a game! I guess you can’t win ‘em all… Manning didn’t pull a Manning. He won the game. I thought he was ready to unravel in the first half but he collected himself and earned his spot in Super Bowl XLI.

Sorry, Jim, but that’s the Super Bowl. Manning is going to win in two weeks. He and Tony Dungy are going to finally, after all the hype, all the talk, all the media, win a Super Bowl.

It sucks that the Patriots didn’t win but as of right now, I feel relieved. That game was painfully stressful. My dad, the genius armchair GM/Analyst/Coach/Football know-it-all, said it best… it’s not the game that’s enjoyable. It’s the victory celebration afterwards.

That’s about all I can muster now. I’m drained. Congrats to all the Indy fans. And to them I say, enjoy the next two weeks. It’s going to be a blast.

absolutely broken-hearted. they won, fair & square. i won’t whine. but i hope they get the snot kicked out of them in Miami just the same.

  2. Angela says:

Yeah, there’s no need to pull an L.T. ha ha

  3. becca says:

Sorry, but I have to root for Peyton in the SB, not because the Bears won (whatever), but because, you know, Peyton’s my homeboy.

Did I ever tell you about the year I went to school with him and Eli? Eli is still a whiny ass turd.

  4. Angela says:

Eli didn’t even look happy during that last Colts touchdown. His brother just put his team in the position to win and he looked lethargic. Jealous? Maybe.

  5. becca says:

He always had to live in dad and brother’s shadow… and he’s probably pissed that he made San Diego trade him to the Giants.

    Peyton was always “Archie’s son.”
    Eli was always “Peyton’s brother.”

He’s still a whiny ass turd. Don’t like him.

  6. Angela says:

Nothing was better than draft day with Eli holding a San Diego jersey. That was the ultimate eff you from S.D.

  7. melissa says:

Yeah, that was quite a game. It was exhausting! Go Bears

  8. Ernie says:

    Well said Angela.

Believe it or not I think I am actually going to root for The Colts in the Superbowl. Lets just let everybody finally get what they want, an Indy/Manning Superbowl win, and get it over with at this point.

  9. gambit says:

Haaaaaaaaaaappy Days Are Here AGAIN!!! The Evil Empire has been put down!!!

  10. annie b says:

love the site, only just found it. although my heart is heavy, my head is held way up high. you can’t win them all, but you can always play like a winner. and that’s what my future husband tommy and all my boys did all season long. i am so proud to be a member of patriotnation. rock on!!

  11. Jon says:

Rub some dirt on that thumb and go win Super Bowl XLI. Sorry Angela

  12. Angela says:

Oh my God, Gambit… what happened to the Yankees?

  13. gambit says:
