In honor of this site’s FIFTH BIRTHDAY, I have uploaded a new site design. What started as a way to kill time while I was on a college hiatus, has turned into a long-lasting hobby.

The domain name was registered the day after the Patriots won Super Bowl 36. I had wanted to share my joy and elation with the two or three visitors to my site which, at the time, was hosted on some crappy free-site thingamajig. Unfortunately, that site was down constantly. I decided to take a stab at registering my own domain name. After kicking around a few ideas for a name, on a whim, I picked bostonbrat.net. I don’t know what made me think of it, and I didn’t realize I would have it to this day. I can’t change it now.

Since its inception back in 2002, my site has had many site designs; this new one being the 31st. The blog was manually typed and updated until I gave up and installed the great B2 in June of ’03.

Since this site has been up, I’ve witnessed two more Patriots Super Bowl Championships and a Red Sox World Series victory; I’ve had three boyfriends, one of which was a fiance; I dropped out of college, went back, dropped out again, went back, and dropped out again; I’ve had four jobs (two waiting tables, one in retail, and my current job at the paper); I’ve gotten pregnant and miscarried, I’ve even moved to another city… and all the while, I’ve updated this site. Wow.
