My office is a complete - how do I put this nicely - shithole. My boss is horribly afflicted with Pack Rat Syndrome, so there is always a surprise in store when you foolishly try to organize the office, much like yesterday when we found an ancient gem in one of the untouched office supply drawers.
This phone probably hasn’t worked in years but I couldn’t let it be thrown out. I am so tempted to take it to the cell phone stand at the mall (you know, the one where the guys harass the hell out of you trying to sell you phones when all you want to do is spend all your money on clothes) and ask if they know how I can put ringtones on it. That should keep me amused for all of ten minutes.

until I visit the Patriots Hall of Fame!

Wow. That thing is ginormous.
Funny, that’s probably the first time I ever typed “ginormous.” It sure sounds a lot better than it looks–coincidentally like that phone.
That’s why I had to hold the thing as I photographed is so you could really grasp how honkin’ huge it is!
That phone is awesome! I have been wanting to get my hands on one of those big clunky white cell phones from the 80s for a long time. I searched eBay but couldn’t find anything
Take the cellphone you have now. Put it in a time capsule and bury it in your backyard. Two years from now, dig it up, and it will probably seem just as humongous to you as this one does today.

I remember this skit on SNL with Will Ferrell working at some posh boutique and he pulls out this microscopic cellphone. It was funny as hell. But really, this phone rules. I wish I could find a charger for it.
One thing is for sure: that phone must be stronger than any cell phone on the market. Try dropping that from a 1 story building and then some cell phone from today, or even from a moving car, and see what happens. The phones from even 5 years ago were more durable and reliable. Sure, reception has increased in todays’ phones, but the focus has moved on from functionality and reliability to having more accessories, like cameras or plate covers.
I used to be that annoying guy selling those phones in the mall. Ok I was not annoying.
Please take that in and get that story. Please record it either audio or video. Get some reactions for mall shoppers. Pretend to talk on it. It would make for a good gag and a laugh.
That thing is awesome. Beleive it or ot there are collectors of that stuff. You should check out EBAY some of the old models are worth a lot whereas others are almost free.
