Paris Hilton, America’s resident bimbo, was sent back to jail on Friday in a move that sent me into hysterical laughter. Let me explain why before you start to think I’m some evil, Paris-hater, because really, I’m not.
For starters, Paris Hilton committed a crime. When defending Paris, Geraldo Rivera mentioned that she was only a little bit drunk. And if she hurt someone, they’d only be a little bit dead?
So, instead of fighting the DUI charges, she pleads no contest. Here in Massachusetts, no contest pleas don’t fly, so instead, many charged with DUIs plead guilty and suffer the consequences such as loss of license, AA meetings, etc. Paris was sentenced to probation, a paltry fine (by her standards), and a suspended license.
While on probation, she gets caught in violation not once but twice. The girl has enough money to easily hire a driver. It’s not as if she has a crappy job that she desperately needs to get to in order to pay for a crappy apartment and feed crappy kids. In reality, she just gave the justice system the “I’m richer than you” middle finger and drove, getting caught twice. Driving is a privilege, not a right.
Upon her second violation, the judge sentences her to jail. Most probation violators receive a 30-day detainer for a violation. Isn’t that the whole point of probation - we’re not putting you in jail for your crime because you seem like a decent kid but if you prove us wrong by getting in trouble, you’re going to jail. Right? Paris got a 45-day sentence, which everyone and their mother knew she wouldn’t serve to completion.
She spends 48 hours in jail and is released for medical reasons. Forget the thousands of offenders that are suffering from AIDS, Hepatitis, Cancer, Herpes, etc., that have to stay in jail and be treated in the jail’s infirmary. Paris’s condition is severe enough to allow her to leave jail but instead of taking her immediately to a hospital, she is sent directly home, to her giant mansion.
So, God Bless the judge that has enough sense to say, “Fuck That,” and sends her back to jail.
If I got arrested for a DUI and got caught driving twice on a suspended license, you can be damn sure that I would be going to jail. With my boyfriend’s court case, I’ve spent many hours in the district courthouse (THREE COURTHOUSES IN THREE DIFFERENT COUNTIES) listening to people plead out of DUIs and I’ve heard the judges’ orders and every single time they have advised them all that if they get caught driving, they are in serious trouble. Why should Paris be any different?
So cry, Paris. I don’t feel bad. Money can’t buy you out of everything.
until I visit the Patriots Hall of Fame!

She’s sucks and hot…and deserve the punishment…
I agree completely. People need to learn to live up to their actions.. it’s not like DUIs are small little nothings, they are the cause of most driving-related deaths. So screw her for thinking she’s above the law. She needs to grow up.
I love that the judge sent her back to prison thats what im talking about she needs to learn a lesson but you know she wont. It seems that the law is starting to crack down on celebs for there stupid actions.
