VINDICATION! The Six House may get to stay open
“We’ve overreacted,” said State Rep. Brian P. Wallace, of South Boston. From the Herald’s article, it seems as though many of the powers that be in the city realize that forcing the Six House to shut its doors may be a drastic overreaction.
After a fatal fight inside the Six House last month, I was furious that the Herald was connecting the bar with Whitey Bulger. I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again, I loved working at the Six, I miss working at the Six and I think the owners and staff are some of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The patrons aren’t “scum,” like the Herald insisted, fights did not happen often, and if it wasn’t for some drunken tough guys who made a random appearance, the Six House would be happily conducting business as usual.
I’m thrilled that the place might be reopening and to show our support, my sister and I are planning to head there as soon as they do. Anyone wanna hang out?
until the NFL Draft!

Reopens tomorrow (Friday), according to the Globe.
