I made it down to the Revere Beach Sandcastle Festival today and in perfect time, too, because I got there right when Troy Brown showed up.

Unfortunately, a gagillion camera people showed up as well and those people are pros. They know how to push the little guys like me out of the way in order to get a good shot. Oh well. I know what Troy looks like anyway.

To end the day, I made sure to get a photo of my boyfriend’s son with the festival’s founder, Sean Fitzpatrick. I plan on getting this one into the paper next week.

Everyone should try to get down there. It’s really cool what these guys can make with sand.
until I visit the Patriots Hall of Fame!

What were some of the other cool things that people made?
At the moment, there isn’t much because the sculptors are still in the building phase. I posted the rest of my pictures here.
I grew up in Boston and didn’t know about that festival. Very cool.
It’s only a few years old. It’s pretty cool.
Wow, like it’s not already hot at the beach! Nice sandcastle…;-)
Off-topic… where did you get that Patriots helmet thing on your sidebar… I want it.
oh wow. that’s really awesome. love the pictures
[...] there were no Troy Brown sightings like last year, it was still a kinda-fun day. And look, I even took the time to make a photo [...]
