Vince gets fined

Vince Wilfork got spanked with a $15,000 fine for putting his fingers inside Brandon Jacobs’ helmet.

Although I don’t condone the “Three Stooges” eye poke, to me it didn’t look like he was going for an eyeball. To me it seemed like an, “eff you, look what I’ll do to you,” taunt. If he really wanted to poke an eye, it was obvious he had a clear shot. Pudgy nose tackle fingers and all, Wilfork could’ve easily poked Jacobs’ eye if he wanted to. But what the hell do I know, I’m just a stupid girl, right?

And your NFL Coach of the Year is…

And your NFL Most Valuable Player is…

  1. I love the idea of that actually being what Wilfork said to Jacobs as he stuck his finger in his face.

“eff you, look what I’ll do to you”

Now I’m picturing him narrating other parts of his life. Like while in the middle of a bowl of cereal, mouth full

    “Eating cornflakes, with a spooooon”

And stupid girl? Well, of course. Talk about redundant. But JUST a stupid girl? Please, you’re so much more. I wouldn’t even know where to start.

But seriously folks. Do your Patriot/Football opinions get dismissed often? That being the reason you use the “But what do I know, I’m just a girl”, or did it just happen a few times years ago and you’re still bitter. Either is understandable btw. But I think if it were an ongoing thing for me I’d would have started slapping people long ago once I’d thrown out an idea and they gave me the dismissive “Yeeaahh, I don’t know”

  2. You’d be surprised. It doesn’t happen too much anymore but I used to get met with stuff like, “Oh yeah? How many players are on the field?!” whenever I tried to discuss football like a normal fan.

  3. That has to be one of the funniest football pics ever. And I thought the same thing when I saw ‘The Poke’; if he wanted to get an eye, the path was clear. He obviously was not trying to poke Jacobs in the eye. And, he needed to get a nominal fine for doing it anyway.
