Unfortunately I think those yanks are taking Tex. Let em have him. Let's get Sabathia... And by the way, why didn't we get Matt Holiday? I think we need to start looking into stealing him the the A's in 2010

Now that the World Series is over, what moves do you think the Sox will make in the off season? Teixeira?

Maybe it's just because baseball is so slow moving and boring to watch...especially on TV!

The Excitement Scale goes from 1 to 10, with 1 being cleaning your toilet and 10 being Hugh Hefner in his younger years.

A regular season football game between Pittsburgh-Jacksonville scores around a 4.6.

Baseball playoffs scores around 7 gazillion.

Sorry, it's just proven science :) I mean, you missed a busted suicide squeeze!

i'm all about football, too.

definitely get more excited about football season.
i watched a few of the games vs the angels but until that point
i barely knew the red sox got into the playoffs.
to me, unless you are there, baseball is a snorefest.
can't watch it for long on tv.
football though, is exactly how you described angela.
(note: don't expect me to wear those lame a** pink versions of jerseys!)

so who's looking forward to seeing the san diego/pats matchup?
quite a rivalry there.

thoughts?

I'm more interested in football as well. I cant stay up for the playoffs the way I did in 03 and 04. I DVR it and *maybe* watch it later.

Half of the magic is gone for me. It's no longer "wait until next year" anymore and I think in a way that was a part of the tradition and that will never be.

Yeah I feel the same way. I love the Red Sox but i have a hard time sometimes sitting through a whole game. I am glad they are pushing through with wins though.
