Resolved

Posted on January 02, 2009 by Angela

It’s the new year and that means everyone makes stupid resolutions that they will probably never keep. Of the ten I made last year I only completed one and a half – I learned to knit (yay!) and I didn’t get any new parking tickets.

This year, I’ve decided to set much more reasonable goals for myself.

1.) Knit a sweater. I’ve knit lots of things in the last year but it’s time I do something more challenging.

2.) Take a vacation. To anywhere. For even a few days. I’m in such dire need of a vacation, it’s not even funny.

3.) Lose 20 lbs. It wouldn’t be New Year’s if I didn’t resolve to lose some poundage.

4.) Partake in Project 365. I’ve already started.

5.) FIND A NEW JOB! This is a biggie. I’ve already begun shopping my resume. For the sake of my health and sanity, it is of the utmost importance that I do this.

6.) Use my savings account for actual savings. I want to get going on an emergency fund for when I have a nervous breakdown at work.

7.) Buy some new clothes. I’ve been so broke lately that I’ve neglected the single most important thing in the world, my wardrobe.

8.) Get organized. It’s broad but I am a hot mess and I need to get things under control. I’ve got bills in one drawer, bills in another, credit card slips over here, car insurance stuff over there…

9.) Reconnect with old friends. My work depression has left me feeling really anti-social in recent months and I have to snap out of it.

10.) Get to at least one sports event this year. Whether it be the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots, or Red Sox.

Now, let’s see which one I fail first.

Well, the vacation one is easy… come to Cali!!! :)

Thank you for your contribution… you were the first to support me in this walk and I truly apprecaite it.

I hope you’re doing well. I will likely be out there in March for my nephew’s baptism. We’ll have to get together for drinks again!! This time, my sister can actually join us. LOL

I’m glad you didnt put in the list, “Quit Smoking” like I’ve heard so many people say and then they never go for it.
