Long day
I’m exhausted after a week that felt like a billion years and a day that felt like a million. We just finished taking the kid to his first basketball practice of the season and nearly got run off the highway by an erratic tow truck driver on the way home. What they say isn’t true, you know, about your life flashing before your eyes as you approach imminent death. All I saw was gravel coming at me. It’s also more proof positive of the importance of wearing a seatbelt, unless you’re in the organ donation business.
To the driver’s defense, he may have been avoiding another car on the road. I only say that because the boyfriend called the tow truck company in hysterics and talked to the owner and he was satisfied enough with the apology and response that he didn’t call the police.
Now, I am finally home after being out, somewhere, since 6 a.m. And I also realized today that I have three personal days that I must use or lose before December 31. Sweetness. Me thinks I am going to be finishing out 2009 with four-day work weeks (not counting the THREE three-day work weeks I have coming up).
until the NFL Draft!

I have those days too..but on the brighter side, you still have those days you don’t have to work!
