This past Thursday, my newspaper let me take pictures of one of those charity-basketball game-thingys, featuring the local firemen versus former Patriots players. Among the players I was able to meet included Randall Gay (the only current player to attend), Mosi Tatupu and Fred Smerlas. My dad, who tagged along, was more than thrilled when he was able to meet one of his all-time favorite players (Russ Francis) and when he was able to tell Mosi how much he enjoys watching his son, Lofa play defense. Aw.

Going into the event, I felt completely ridiculous asking people to pose for pictures. “Hi, can I take your picture for the paper?” To my surprise, most people were actually more than willing to stop what they were doing to pose and smile although one woman asked if I was really taking pictures for the paper. No lady, I’m some creepy weirdo that wants to take random pictures of your children for perverse purposes. Duh.

The pictures didn’t come out all that great but for a first-timer, I think I did a bang-up job damnit! You may view all the photos (even the shitty ones) here.
