I found this on Barstoolsports yesterday and it made me laugh so hard, if I had been drinking milk it would’ve came out my nose.
And this marks my final post for National Blog Posting Month! I did it! Yay me!
Thank goodness I have NFL Network because this Cowboys-Packers game is a goodie.
There’s been some rumbling in the past few days leading up to this game about the NFL bogarting games and how un-frickin-fair it is that everyone is being deprived a great game. As if it’s the NFL’s fault. Everyone’s pissed at the NFL. Boo-frickin-hoo.
How come no one seemed to care about games being aired exclusively on NFL Network last season? Oh yeah, because NFL Network was standard with Comcast’s digital cable last season. Then, Comcast decided to cash in and make a little extra bank on the network – made it a special package. Now, instead of just getting the NFL Network standard, we have to pay an extra $5 or something bucks a month for the sports tier package. As if we are going to even spend five minutes watching the high school sports network or the college sports network or even the NBA Network. It’s like being told if you want HBO you have to pay for Showtime, too. My point is, how come no one’s angry at Comcast? Why is all this recent rumbling directed toward the NFL?
Games are the NFL’s product. Why can’t they exclusively air a game or too? And when this game was scheduled, did anyone really realize how big it would be? I don’t know.
What I do know is tomorrow is November 30, meaning the last day of NaBloPoMo and this post qualifies as #29. Almost done!
I just noticed, you can watch the game live online at NFL Live (albeit, about 20 seconds behind but not bad). How frickin’ cool! That means on nights when my boyfriend fights for the TV, I can still watch! I hope they do this again! Maybe for Monday night games too.
Washington Redskins’ safety Sean Taylor passed away this morning after being shot yesterday. My prayers are with his family, young daughter, teammates and friends. It truly breaks my heart when such a promising young star is senselessly snuffed out.
What the eff is the matter with some of you people?! And you call yourselves fans?! Have you even watched a Patriots game prior to this season?! Judging by some of your reactions to last night’s game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, I’m assuming you haven’t.
I read some comments by Patriots fans about how horrible of a game it was. Did they not remember the last time we faced AJ Feeley – you know, the game they kept showing highlights of last night – you know, the one where the Patriots lost in the last three minutes – you know, the one where Brady threw a whopper interception – you know, the one where the Patriots played a team that had a brand-spankin’ new coach for that very game and had only won two games prior?
What about the AFC Championship last season when they Pats blew a mammoth lead after the half? That was a horrible game (unless of course, you are a Colts fan making that one of the best games ever).
Was I watching a different game than everyone else?
My God, we have become one spoiled rotten bunch of whiny babies. Yes, Patriots Nation. The truth hurts. We have lost our way. We have forgotten how Adam Vinatieri made a name for himself, and we have forgotten the raw emotion of a game that runs four full quarters.
Sure, the Patriots weren’t playing their “A” game but the Eagles sure as heck were. Believe it or not, that wasn’t putrid play by our team but stellar play by the opponent.
With the sole exception being the Randy Moss pass interference call, I don’t even think my dad and I yelled in last night’s game.
And spare me the whole “now we know how to beat the Patriots” crap because we don’t. The Patriots still won. Did I miss something here? Isn’t this the same conversation that was floating around after the Indy game?
Sometimes, I feel like I’m living in some surreal alternate universe where everyone is stupid. Oh wait…
